Victron Energy VE.Bus Smart Dongle (Bluetooth)

The VE.Bus Smart dongle is two products in one:

First of all it is the Bluetooth accessory for our range of inverter/chargers: Multis, MultiPlusses, MultiPlus-II, MultiGrid, MultiGrid-II, Quattros, and our series of Phoenix Inverters with a VE.Bus port. When installed, use the VictronConnect App to monitor operation and also operate the system: change the input current limit as well as switch between Off, On and Charger-only modes.

Secondly it can work as a Voltage- and Temperature-sense device for the inverter/charger. This works with all models.

For monitoring, the device is a great alternative in caravans, smaller yachts and motor homes for which the Color Control GX or Venus GX are a step too far.

It also adds Instant Readout to the VE.Bus product and displays the inverter/charger’s key data on the VictronConnect device list page without requiring a connection to the product. This includes visual notifications of warnings, alarms, and errors, allowing for at-a-glance diagnostics.

Victron Digital Multi Control 200/200A GX (Right Angle RJ45)

The Digital Multi Control is used to remotely view and adjust AC input currents, and turn on and off the Multi or Quattro. It is designed to integrate cleanly with your boat, vehicle or house system control panel.

The Digital Multi Control panel (DMC) is designed to work with all Multi/Quattro. This includes stand alone, parallel and 2-3 phase configurations. Connecting the DMC to your system is simple, in most cases just connecting the DMC with an RJ45 cable is sufficient and no extra set-up handling is required.

An extra advantage of this panel is the easy mounting: the included mounting frame allows the user to mount the panel from either front or back side.
The body of the GX panel is made of plastic, which makes the panel lighter and adds a modern look to the panel.
Setting range: up to 200 amps.
The brightness of the LEDs is automatically reduced during night time.

Incorrect installation can be hazardous. Consult a professional and follow electrical codes during installation
The shunt and cables can limit Bluetooth range, typically 10-15 meters, which is usually adequate. However, nearby electrically conducting elements like vehicle chassis or seawater can reduce range further. To address this, add a VE.Direct Bluetooth Dongle and deactivate Bluetooth in the SmartShunt.
